Rules
How to play, why it is built this way, and the three questions everyone asks. Every number below is computed from the parameters currently in force.
How it works
- Market cap = 2 × reserve
- The only quantity comparable across products. The board sorts by it, not by price.
- Price = 2 × reserve / shares
- Share count only grows, so the same inflow gets spread ever thinner.
- Claim 200 $HYPE daily
- Each streak day adds 20, capped at 400; one product takes at most 300 per day — money alone cannot buy a ticker through.
- Reserve halves every 72h
- Always burning, traded or not — a fill adds reserve back, it never pauses the clock. Every ticker burns at the same rate, so rank is decided by who draws more net inflow, never by who listed first.
- Top 10 needs ≥ 8 holders
- Buying your own ticker gets you nowhere. Below the threshold it reads UNRANKED.
The three questions
answered before launch- "Isn't this just vote stuffing?"
- One account can buy at most 300 $HYPE of a single product per day — no amount of money buys a ticker outright. The top ten additionally requires ≥ 8 distinct holders; below that the ticker is marked UNRANKED. Holder concentration is public for every ticker, so anyone propping up their own product is visible at a glance on its product page. Sign-up has its own gate: a third-party account must be at least 30 days old.
- "What is the point of free currency?"
- Because it disappears: every ticker's reserve decays on a 72-hour half-life, so holding a rank takes a steady stream of buyers — stop and it sinks on its own. Site-wide market cap stays a constant multiple of the active population, so there is no inflation: a rank is taken from someone else, never printed.
- "Is this gambling, or a security?"
- Neither: no deposits, no withdrawals, no transfers between users — $HYPE can only be claimed for free. The prizes are honour badges, profile titles and a slot on the front page — no physical goods, no gift cards, no cash. See Terms.
Listing & content
- A listing may only be submitted by the owner or someone they authorised. We do not crawl products and we do not list on anyone's behalf — a product that shows up on the board without its owner's consent is the one real legal risk a site like this has.
- Product icons are taken from the site favicon only, shown small; no founder photos and no likenesses of any kind.
- Not allowed: porn / adult platforms, chat invite links, link shorteners, affiliate links, scams and malware. The same list applies to the link on a paid ad — buying a slot does not buy an exemption.
- Removal has two channels. If you listed it yourself, delist it from /me — instantly, no review. For anything else, use /delist: no sign-in, handled unconditionally within 24 hours, no reason asked. The same form is used to report violating content.
- A delisted ticker can still be sold. Buying closes for good and it leaves the board, but every holder keeps the same exit they always had: sell along the curve, first out gets the most. Nothing is redistributed and no position is force-closed — delisting changes one status column and nothing else.
- While a dispute is open the ticker is halted instead: the quote keeps decaying, both directions close, positions are kept — we decide between resuming and delisting once it is handled. Content that breaks the rules above stays halted for good.
- There is no shorting and no downvote here. Selling only means "I no longer hold this", not "this product is bad"; v1 will never ship a tool pointing the other way.
Money & ranking
two hard rules- $HYPE is never sold and never withdrawable. The moment $HYPE can be bought, this turns back into a pay-to-win board — and those already exist, done better.
- No paid feature may ever influence the ranking. That promise is the entire source of the board's credibility.
- Explicitly never: selling $HYPE, selling ranks, selling "boost my listing", ad-network pop-ups, or rewriting product links into affiliate links.
- One thing is sold today: a labelled ad row — from $39 for 30 days, one slot per 10 listed products, see Advertise. Bidding higher takes an earlier slot; it never takes a rank. It is marked AD in the cell where a real row shows its rank, its link carries rel="sponsored", and every remaining number on it — price, market cap, 24h, volume — is a dash.
- How the second rule survives that: paid rows are inserted after every rank has been computed, so deleting them from a page leaves the remaining rows and their numbers byte-identical. That is held in place by a test rather than by this sentence. Paying moves no ticker, and buys no $HYPE, no shares and no listing.
- Anything charged for later has to clear the same bar. Still only maybes: a founder analytics dashboard and a domain-ownership badge — neither of which would grant any ranking or trading advantage.
Listing rules
- The 50 $HYPE bond is not a deposit: it becomes the ticker's opening reserve and stays in the market. It is not returned.
- The founder's initial shares are locked forever and never count as sellable — listing and dumping is not possible here.
- Every fill pays a 1.00% fee, of which 50.00% accrues as the founder's royalty (settled daily); the rest is burned.
- A domain can be listed only once. To list your own product, go to /ipo.
